Project Scope
Haanen Packard
Machinery developed a portable rail cart to meet these customer
requirements:
|
|
1. Design and fabricate a portable cart that mounts a concrete core drilling
head onto it and roll down differing Canadian or USA standard gauge railroad tracks. |
|
2. Rail Cart must clamp to rails and be able to
hold core drill in place while drilling holes through special rail cleats
designed for fastening rails to concrete. |
|
3. Light enough for one or two men to carry. Sturdy enough to survive use
and abuse of rail construction crews. |
|
4. Assembled in such a way that a current cannot pass from one rail to
another when cart is set on or clamped to tracks.
